WHY TEA?
Much
scientific evidence has shown that green tea (Camellia sinensis, not herb teas)
can kill human cancer cells. It may well
have a protective effect against several cancers (including skin cancer). Tea contains large quantities of polyphenols,
many of which act as antioxidants. One
of these polyphenols is found in no other plant and is a stronger antioxidant
than vitamins E and C. It is
radioprotective as well, especially against carsingenisis induced by UV
(sunlight). Scientific research also
indicates that green tea may well have a protective effect against high blood
pressure and heart disease.
WHY
GREEN TEA?
Green
tea is thought to be the healthiest kind of tea. All teas come from the same tea plant and so
share that plant’s many medicinal qualities, but black and Oolong teas
are “fermented” while green teas are not. As a result, the chemical properties of green
teas are somewhat different, and have a higher concentration of the
constituents thought to contribute to wellness while also containing
significantly lower amounts of caffeine.
WHY LOOSE BULK TEA?
Loose tea leaves contain all
the benefits and the full flavor of the tea plant. On the tea farm high quality tea is never
used in tea bags. Bulk loose tea is a
good choice because you can see what you are buying. You pay less and it is economical because you
can refill your teapot with hot water 2 or 3 times using the same leaves. Buying loose bulk tea you not only get pure,
higher quality tea, you also help:
